How To's

Growing a Beard

So, you've decided to grow a beard!  At the beginning, the best advice is to just let it grow! In around 6-8 weeks, your beard will start to find itself.  After that you can normally begin trimming it to your desired style.  For a full but neat beard, you'll want to take in the sides and keep the length whilst nipping off the stragglers at the bottom.  We'd advise that you find a reputable local barber to help you style and shape your beard to best suit you, as it can take time to get the knack of trimming it properly yourself.
Whatever you do, be sure to take care of your beard so that it looks and most importantly feels healthy.  Our oils, balms and waxes have been carefully formulated with this in mind, so not only will your beard feel great, it'll smell amazing too.

How To Apply Beard Oil

However long or short your beard is, we recommend applying beard oil at least twice a day.

For short beards: Place four or five drops of our oil in the palms of your hands and rub together until evenly distributed.  Massage evenly through all facial hair, until your beard feels soft and conditioned.

For long beards: Same process as above, however, use a beard comb to evenly distribute beard oil through whiskers.  New to beard oil? Try our Beard Oil multipack.

How To Apply Beard Balm

We're often asked what is the best or correct way to apply beard balm.

These simple steps below will keep your beard in top condition:

  1. Scoop a pea sized amount out with your finger or back of your nail if the balm is a little stiff and warm between your hands until liquified
  2. Massage through the beard making sure your fingertips reach the skin beneath. This will help prevent dry skin and should stop the dreaded beardruff!
  3. Comb your beard with our wide tooth or handle comb to ensure even distribution and to style as desired
  4. Sport your freshly balmed beard for the rest of the day and reapply in the evening.
